Blackbird Baking Company opened in June of 2009, a collaboration between husband and wife Tom and Adria Clark. We met in Portland, Oregon, where Tom, a Lakewood native, acquired his baker training while working at and managing local bakeries. We relocated to the Cleveland area in 2007 with the intention of opening our own neighborhood bakery, and the rest is history!
Our goal was to be 'the living room of the neighborhood', where families and individuals feel comfortable and at home, and we like to think we have succeeded.

We make a variety of European breads, including French baguettes, ciabatta, focaccia, and specializing in naturally-yeasted levain loaves.
Our pastries include croissants, sticky buns, scones, muffins, and cookies; including our award-winning Salted Chocolate Chip cookie.
Our products are made by hand, from scratch, and fresh daily. We use the highest-quality ingredients such as European butter and free-range eggs from local farmers.
